Dear Families and Friends of Menlo Park Academy of Dance,
The decision has been made to temporarily close MPAD from MARCH 16TH-31ST to protect the health and safety of our students and employees, and as our communal responsibility to slow the spread of COVID-19.
My heart is heavy with the current situation but I am full of gratitude for the outpouring of support that I have received from the MPAD community during these surreal and unprecedented times. Your continued support will enable the rent on three buildings to be paid as well as the teachers and office staff of MPAD to receive pay throughout this hiatus.
Please rest assured that we are exploring alternative ways to provide continued dance education for your students such as videos of class work and ZOOM live feed of scheduled MPAD classes. More to follow on this in the coming week, as I work with our teachers and staff to identify the best solution during a period of studio closure.
Your students physical well being and continued artistic endeavors are foremost on my mind, as well as providing them an outlet to enjoy their MPAD community that they so love.
We are continuing to make plans for the June 6th & 7th Recital and the Summer Intensives, and have no plans to cancel these events at this time. The COVID-19 has brought to our door a challenge but I am confident and most appreciative of our MPAD teachers, staff, students and families.
